Please don’t take your rubbish with you on holiday. Many places don’t have facilities for recycling so leave any packaging at home (preferably recycle it)

Read up on your destination - you’ll get more out of your holiday if you have some understanding of your host country. And learn a few words of the language, too. It’s a great way to make friends.

Travel light. Less weight equals less fuel needed to get you there.

Try to find environmentally friendly shampoos and shower gels as you never know whether they’ll end up in the sea…..

And don’t forget to recycle your holiday brochures when you’ve finished with them.
